Upon arrival in Cairns, join your charter yacht and begin your journey on to Fitzroy Island. Settling in to a beautiful anchorage for the day where you can explore one of Australia’s best beaches – “Nudey Beach” a stretch of white pristine sand and coral beach.A 3.6km return hike up an old road to the lighthouse from the northern point of Welcome Bay will treat you to 360 degree views of the stunning Coral Sea, and if in winter maybe even humpback whales!The Great Barrier Reef is home to six of the seven species of marine turtles, the island is also home to a Turtle Rehabilitation Centre. Enjoy your first evening beginning with sundowners in your private anchorage.

Further North lies Cooktown, approximately 80 nautical miles of Port Douglas. Steve’s Bommie is an incredible dive site located at Ribbon Reef No. 3. The bommie rises from 30 metres deep to just five metres below the water, and attracts schools of bigeye trevally, barracuda, yellow-lined snapper, Moses perch, yellow-lined goatfish and many others.Anchor at Steve’s Bommie for access to Ribbon Reef, a stunning chain of individual reefs. Fringing the edge of the continental shelf, this is a 200km stretch of the northern Great Barrier Reef.Adjacent to the Coral Sea trench, these ribbon reefs are recognized as the most pristine eco-systems in the reef’s environment, encouraging rich coral growth and supporting spectacular marine life. Some of the best and most famous dive sites on the reef are here.

120 km ‘string’ of 10 individuals coral reefs that collectively are called ‘The Ribbon Reefs’. Comprising of numerous smaller ribbon reefs, Agincourt Reef is located at the very edge of the Great Barrier Reef along the Reefs Continental Shelf. Below the crystal clear surface of the Coral Sea lives some of the most vibrant aquatic animal and plant life that is totally unique to Australia’s coast.
